Summer Solstice Petal Prayer

An eco-printing workshop and ritual. Because to honor this craft fully is to enter a ceremonial space with the earth. Together we will reflect on the season past, and set intentions for the season to come! Through harvesting from the local plants around us, and laying prayers through petals and leaves. Creating a mandala you can wear forever! 

This workshop includes:

* 44” x 44” large silk square: the perfect size to wear as a skirt to the beach or tie in infinite ways to create a totally earth based summer fit!

* supplies for eco-printing: a wooden towel and mordants to ensure your plant prayer stays for life!

* eco-printing and silk tie tutorials

* collective prayer and ceremony

The workshop does not include:

*  a large pot for steaming the silks - will need a large pot WITH LID that can fit a 12” wooden dowel inside 

*plants! this is the personalized aspect to this ritual! the invitation is to collect leaves and flowers in your local surroundings. this process is experimental but with the right mordants and patience we will ensure you get a plant print! a week before our time together you will get a more detailed information email to help with your harvest!

* saran wrap - not necessary but if you want to get a very “crispy” print I will show you a technique with the saran wrap to do so
